There has been a major uptake in telehealth and telemedicine around the world to ensure healthcare systems can continue to serve patients amidst the COVID-19 crisis. Beyond virtual doctor visits, innovative technology has a wide-reaching role in keeping vulnerable older populations safe at home, including remote patient monitoring and artificial intelligence. A panel of experts will discuss how ICTs have helped alleviate pressures during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond that, what can be done to take lessons from COVID-19 in preparation for future crises and long-term health systems change.
